Bethesda Pharmacy Robbed At Gunpoint, Police Investigating

Two men went into a Bethesda pharmacy and demanded drugs, MOCO Police said. The robbery was interrupted when a customer walked in.

BETHESDA, MD — Two men robbed an Arlington Road pharmacy on the afternoon of Oct. 30 and fled before police arrived.

Montgomery County Police say the two men went inside the pharmacy and demanded drugs from an employee. One raised his sweatshirt to show a handgun and then took it out and ushered the employee to the back of the pharmacy, police said.

One of the suspects that told another employee to open the pharmacy safe — the other suspect started putting pharmaceuticals into his backpack. The robbery was interrupted when a customer walked into the store and the employee told them to call the police. The suspects then ran, police say.
