BETHESDA, MD — Bethesda resident Joey Jones has been cast to appear in the upcoming season of ABC's hit show "The Bachelorette." The network released a list of the season 15 hopefuls on Facebook earlier this month.

In case you're a newcomer to the reality drama, "The Bachelorette" is a spin-off of "The Bachelor," and follows a leading lady on her quest for love. Over the course of the season, the bachelorette dates multiple men until she finds a potential husband."

On this season of "The Bachelorette," Joey will try to outlast 32 other contestants and win Hannah Brown's heart.

While Joey's sister, Bridgette Jones, couldn't reveal much about the competition, she said that she is excited to see him on this journey.

"We are really excited for him and we wish him the best in this journey," Bridgette said.

According to LinkedIn, Joey graduated from Boston College in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and information systems. After college, Joey became a senior manager at Ernst & Young.

At 33, Joey is the oldest contestant looking for love this season. Brown — an interior designer from Alabama — is 24. Before becoming the Bachelorette, Brown was a contestant on the 23rd season of "The Bachelor."

Will Hannah find love this time around? Only time will tell. ABC's "The Bachelorette" premieres Monday, May 13, at 8 p.m.
