Summer Restaurant Week hosted by Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington is about more than just good eating; it’s an opportunity to dine out and give back to those in need in the metropolitan Washington community. New this year to the event, organizers say some locations will team up with the Capital Area Food Bank to raise money to help over 500,000 mothers, fathers, kids, grandparents and working adults gain access to good, healthy food every day. The food bank provides food through a network of 444 non-profit partners across Washington, Maryland and Virginia with each dollar donated providing more than two full meals for someone in need.
Participating restaurants are marked with a round CAFB logo and can be viewed, along with the full list of 250 Restaurant Week locations, at www.RWDMV.com.
