State's Best Private High School In Bethesda
The all-girls school Holton-Arms was named the 2017 Best Private School in Maryland.

BETHESDA, MD — A Bethesda college-preparatory school was named the best private high school in Maryland by Niche, a website that provides information about schools.
Holton-Arms School for girls was named the best private school based on student SAT/ACT scores, private school ratings, student-teacher ratio and more.
"A Holton-Arms education is a global education, we are committed to preparing young women to make a difference in a complex and changing world. We strive to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and disposition necessary to understand and act responsibly and creatively to resolve issues of global significance," the school's website states.

Niche gave Holton-Arms School an A-plus in academics, sports, college readiness and teachers; an A for clubs and activities; and a B-Pus for diversity.
This landed Holton-Arms School as the 2017 Best Private High School in Maryland and the number one Private High School College Readiness in Maryland.

According to the site, many Holton-Arms graduates end up attending Vanderbilt University, University of Pennsylvania and University of Maryland.
The school at 7303 River Rd. was founded in 1901. The school teaches girls grades three to 12. About 660 students are enrolled, and according to the school's website, there are about six students for every staff member.
