Bethesda Students Raise Money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Bethesda County Day School students raised money for blood cancer research by collecting spare change and online donations

Students at Bethesda Country Day School in Bethesda recently raised more than $5,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the organization’s Pennies for Patients program. Throughout May, students collected spare change and held online fundraisers to support blood cancer research, as well as provide help and hope to patients and their families. In addition to their donation, students were connected with local blood cancer patients to see the impact they're making in the lives of others. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others in their community.
