BETHESDA, MD — Here are some of the theater productions, live music performances and other weekend activities happening Nov. 4-6.
Friday, November 4:
- Little Feat Guitarists Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett perform in a rare acoustic set at AMP.
- Opening reception for two exhibits at the Artists & Makers Studios in Rockville include art work by Pete McCutchen, Min Enghauser and Maire McArdle.
- Rockville Musical Theatre presents Shrek the Musical at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre.
- Incognito featuring Maysa performs at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club.
- Montgomery Playhouse presents the mystery Postmortem at Gaithersburg Arts Barn.
- The BSO performs selections from The Nutcracker in their Off the Cuff concert, which is less formal than Sunday’s performance.
- Olney Theatre presents the musical Mary Poppins.
- Montgomery College presents the dark comedy Natural Causes at the Cultural Arts Center.

- The National Philharmonic performs Handel’s Coronation Anthem No. 1 at the Strathmore Music Center.
- Instrumentalist Edmar Castañeda performs chamber music at BlackRock Center for the Arts.
Sunday, November 6:

- Montgomery Playhouse presents the mystery Postmortem at Gaithersburg Arts Barn.
