Bethesda's Westbrook Elementary Celebrates 75 Years of Education with Building Dedication Ceremony and Community-Wide Events
All are invited to Westbrook's September 23rd Building Dedication Ceremony and exciting Community-Wide Events the weekend of October 25-26.

Westbrook Elementary will celebrate its 75th year with an official dedication of the school’s new classroom wing and gymnasium by Montgomery County dignitaries and school officials.
All present and former members of the Westbrook Elementary staff, local community members and all other interested persons are invited to the Dedication Ceremony on Tuesday, September 23 starting at 7:00 p.m. in the all-purpose room. Westbrook Elementary is located at 5110 Allan Terrace, Bethesda.
Activities and highlights include remarks from Ms. Jennifer Lane, Principal, state and county officials, a musical performance by the Westbrook chorus and tours of the building.

Westbrook’s building, originally designed by architect Howard Cutler and constructed as a Federal Public Works project in 1939, was expanded in 2013 to include a gymnasium, classroom wing, kindergarten suites and expanded administrative space. Muse Architects of Chevy Chase designed and HESS Construction of Gaithersburg managed the $14M project. Westbrook currently has 455 students enrolled and serves children from pre-kindergarten through Grade 5.
In addition to the Dedication Ceremony, Westbrook’s 75th Celebration continues with community-wide events the weekend of October 25-26, including an all-community Sock Hop in the new gymnasium, and Anniversary Tea for former parents and students.
