Bloomingdale's, ILORI Theft Suspects Sought: Police
Sunglasses were a favorite shoplifting item by several suspects at the stores in recent weeks, say police.

Repeated thefts from two upscale stores in Friendship Heights/Chevy Chase – Bloomingdale’s and ILORI -- have Crime Solvers offering a reward, say police.
In the Bloomingdale’s case, the same man is suspected of stealing more than a dozen pairs of sunglasses from the store on Aug. 5 and again on Aug. 10. Employees didn’t report the first theft, but notified police on Aug. 10 when the suspect removed 12 pairs of sunglasses and fled the store at 5300 Wisconsin Ave.
The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-to-late forties. He has brown hair that is graying and a white mustache.

In the second case, Montgomery County Police say a man is suspected in two thefts on July 1 and Aug. 10 from the designer sunglass and eyeglass store ILORI, 5330 Western Avenue in Friendship Heights.
On July 1, a man and a woman entered the store, distracted an employee, and reportedly stole sunglasses. Both suspects then fled the store.

On Aug. 10, the same male suspect from the earlier incident entered the store and was recognized by an employee from the prior theft. The suspect stole sunglasses from a display near the front door and fled while the employee was calling 9-1-1.
The male suspect is described as a black male, 5’10” tall and weighing 180 pounds. At the time of the Aug. 10 theft, he was wearing a blue shirt with writing on the front, blue jeans, and a black hat on backwards. He also had white ear buds around his neck.
The female suspect from the July 1 theft is described as a black woman with short blonde hair. She was wearing a denim shirt, denim shorts and black sandals.
