Book Signing at Bethesda Central Farm Market
Abbie Rosner, who will sign copies of her book Breaking Bread in Galilee: A Culinary Journey into the Promised Land at Bethesda Central Farm Market on Sunday, June 9 from 10am-12:30pm.

Central Farm Markets is proud to present author Abbie Rosner, who will sign copies of her book Breaking Bread in Galilee: A Culinary Journey into the Promised Land at Bethesda Central Farm Market on Sunday, June 9 from 10am-12:30pm.
A native of Washington, D.C., Abbie has lived in the Galilee for the past 25 years. She became interested in learning about edible wild plants from her Bedouin neighbors, which led to a wonderful exploration into the local foods and age-old culinary traditions of her area.
The book takes a close look at how powerful sharing foods and traditions can be and how they can bridge the cultural divide between individuals. Abbie has taken a close and uplifting look at the local foods and food history, giving a new perspective to readers who are constantly bombarded with troubling news and images from the Middle East. This wonderful journey into Northern Israel's Galilee area gives the readers a great introduction to food ways described in the bible that are still practiced today.
