Burglary Suspect Ignoring Sweets, Going for Cash: Police
Several Silver Spring businesses, including Dunkin' Donuts and Brookville Bakery, have been burglarized.

A thief is ignoring doughnuts and other baked goods at businesses he’s allegedly burglarizing, say police, instead grabbing cash and leaving.
Montgomery County Police hope local residents can identify a suspect in several commercial burglaries. On Thursday the department released photographs of the suspect they say is responsible for at least three break-ins.
The first burglary was on Oct. 10 at 11:12 p.m., police say, when the suspect entered Dunkin Donuts, 8401 Colesville Road in Silver Spring, and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Nov. 16 at 8 p.m., the same suspect entered El Norteno, 8917 Brooksville Road in Silver Spring. Nothing was taken but there was damage to the business.
On the same day, the suspect also entered Brookville Bakery, 8921 Brookville Road in Silver Spring, and took an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities say.

The suspect is described as described as a white man between 44 and 55 years old, between 5’5”-5’7” tall, weighing between 150-180 pounds.
Anyone with information about the burglaries or the suspect is asked to call the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710 or the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870. Callers can remain anonymous.
