BETHESDA, MD — California jewelry chain gorjana will open up on Bethesda Row sometime this fall, the owners announced.

“While our roots are based in Laguna Beach, our customer base in the Washington, DC and Bethesda areas has been growing exponentially over the years, so we are thrilled to launch our retail experience at Bethesda Row,” said Gorjana Reidel and Jason Griffin Reidel, gorjana co-founders. “We look forward to bringing our quintessentially Californian style further into the East Coast and we are excited to introduce and re-introduce the community to gorjana.”

The jewelry brand is known for its simplistic gold designs and layering sets. Prices range from $20 for a stud to $765 for a diamond necklace. The store will sell necklaces, bracelets, rings, charms, and earrings.

The founders also plan to commission a mural on the wall outside, as a "centerpiece" of the storefront. The director of Federal Realty, which owns the building, said the store will fit right in at the Bethesda strip.

“We are pleased to welcome gorjana’s first DC-metro location to Bethesda Row’s exciting and evolving mix of retail shops and restaurants,'' says Vanessa Mendoza, Senior Director with Federal. “With its classic style, the beautiful jewelry line is an ideal fit for the types of brands and products our customers and neighbors love to shop."
