Catherine Scott Named Executive Director at Ingleside at Rock Creek
Senior Housing Executive Brings Three Decades of Experience to New Post as Head of D.C. Retirement Community.

Washington, D.C. – Ingleside, a premier provider of comprehensive senior living services in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, has named Catherine Scott as the new executive director at Ingleside at Rock Creek. A premier continuing care retirement community located in northwest Washington, D.C., Ingleside at Rock Creek is one of the three not-for-profit communities operated by Ingleside.
Prior to joining Ingleside, Scott served most recently as president of Philadelphia-based Seniors Housing 180, which provides market, development and management consulting for all types of senior housing communities. Previous career posts industry included senior executive roles with Symphony Senior Living, New Dawn Memory Care, Sunrise Senior Living and Presbyterian Homes of New Jersey.
“Catherine is passionate about working with older adults and providing a five-star level of care and service,” said Lynn O’Connor, President and CEO of Ingleside. “She has over 30 years of experience managing various types of senior housing and programs and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Ingleside leadership team.”

Ingleside at Rock Creek’s roots in the District of Columbia date back to 1906. Today, it serves a diverse population of residents and is home to retirees from the Foreign Service and the Department of State, former educators from the highest levels of academia, writers and musicians, and successful entrepreneurs, among others.
Ingleside at Rock Creek is adding an upcoming addition to their community, “Creekside,” which will include 105 new independent living residences and 12 assisted living residences to the community. The new midrise building will offer independent living residences with the ultimate in modern amenities and services. A new Center for Healthy Living will include amenities such as a day spa, bistro and classrooms, and meditation room. In addition, the Health Services Center will house assisted living, specialized memory support, long- term care, and rehabilitation and medical services. The upcoming addition is scheduled for completion in 2019/2020.

Ingleside at Rock Creek recently earned a prestigious five-year CARF-CCAC Accreditation (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities- Continuing Care Accreditation Commission), a distinction also earned by Ingleside’s other two communities in the region: Ingleside at King Farm and Westminster at Lake Ridge. The honor represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization in the industry and shows Ingleside at Rock Creek’s substantial implementations of the CARF-CCAC standards.
