Town of Chevy Chase residents can help others, learn how to get rid of their leaves and more in coming weeks.

From the annual Thanksgiving baskets drive to a winter clothing collection, Town of Chevy Chase residents can help others and themselves in the next month.

6th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets: Donations accepted through Nov. 17. Information about how to get involved is available here.

Lids for Recycling Bins: If you would like a lid for your 18-gallon recycling bin(s), contact the Town Office at 301-654-7144 or townoffice@townofchevychase.org.
Resident Directory Authorization Forms: If you would like to be included in the directory, return the completed authorization form (mailed to all Town residents) to the Town Office by Friday, Nov. 28.
Winter Outerwear Clothing Drive: Nov. 1 through Jan. 1. The Town’s Community Relations Committee and the Lawton Community Center are collecting clean, gently-used warm coats, gloves, mittens, scarves, sweaters, pants and socks to benefit the Betty Ann Krahnke Center and Bethesda Cares. Leaf collection: Has begun and will continue through the second week of December. Rake leaves to the edge of the curb to be vacuumed. Leaves must be free of debris such as sticks, bottles, cans and rocks. A map of the leaf collection schedule can be found here.
