Chevy Chase To Host National Night Out At Village Hall

Chevy Chase Village is inviting residents to participate in National Night Out, an annual event to build bonds between police and residents.

CHEVY CHASE, MD — Chevy Chase Village is inviting residents to participate in the upcoming National Night Out, an annual event designed to build better relationships between communities and police officers.

This is the first time the village has held the event since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2 on the Laurel Parkway side of the Village Hall. The village will provide grilled hot dogs, chips, cold beverages and popsicles.

Chevy Chase Village and Montgomery County police officers will be at the event to meet with residents. Local Fire Department and EMT personnel also will join law enforcement officers for the National Night Out event.

Goodies bags, with a Chevy Chase Village coloring book, will be provided to children who attend the event.

As part of National Night Out, residents of Chevy Chase are encouraged to turn on their porch lights.
