Police Chief Denounces ‘Drunk Driver,’ State’s Weak Laws
The drunk driver suspected in the death of an officer was arrested several times before, and Montgomery County Police Chief Thomas Manger has had enough with Maryland’s weak laws that do little to punish offenders.

Byrd Stadium to Change Name to Maryland Stadium
The University of Maryland Board of Regents has stripped the name of a former president from the college’s football stadium because the man had actively kept African-American students off the campus.
UMD President Wallace Loh likened the stadium to the university’s “front porch,” says WTOP, and as such it should represent the school’s current values of inclusion and diversity. >>>read more.
