Christmas Clutter Drive!!

Local Nonprofit Fundraising through Clutter! Drop Off clutter to St. Anthony's Bridal ANY Saturday Jan 2, Jan 9, Jan 16, Jan 23 10a-12p

If you’re like me, your house is full of a new collection of stuff from the holidays.
Whether you’re into early spring cleaning or a Christmas/New Year’s Purge, I have a proposition and humbly ask for you to support my nonprofit.

St. Anthony’s Bridal is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization I’ve been serving as President for 6 years, and we’re finally at the cusp of having enough funds to move to Vienna. (We’ve been operating in Rockville for 8 years in the storage rooms of a dog daycare - needless to say, we really want a space of our own and within 20 minutes driving distance of my home). We help brides on really low budgets afford a beautiful wedding. We sell wedding gowns for $150 each, and we provide workshops and expo’s for brides to plan their weddings on $3,000, $7,000, or $10,000 in an area where the average wedding budget is well above $30,000.

We’re collecting junk you want to purge from your house! AND it’s Tax Deductible!

FINAL Date: January 23, 2016. I’m bringing in the donations on January 24.

Where to donate?
BRING bags (13-gallon trash bags or boxes/totes weighing 50lbs or less) to St. Anthony’s Bridal on any Saturday Jan 2, Jan 9, Jan 16, or Jan 23 from 10am-12pm.
We will have tax deductible donation receipts for you on-site.

Sounds crazy, right?
Nope.

Unique Thrift Store, one of my favorite thrift stores in the area, directly benefits Viet Nam Veterans of America. Their umbrella company Savers Value Village does fundraisers for nonprofits. Basically, we stage a fundraiser of “stuff,” and we get cash per pounds.

Here’s the list of what they can/cannot accept:
Soft Goods are clothing, shoes, hats, scarves, undergarments, jewelry, accessories, bags, wallets, bedding, towels, curtains, tablecloths and other cloth materials. (We get $0.20 per pound)
Hard Goods are toys, small household goods and appliances, books, CD’s and DVD’s. (We get $0.05 per pound)

The Do Not Accept List includes all weapons, hazardous materials, construction materials, flammable products, automobile parts, damaged furniture, beds, bedding parts, televisions, computer monitors, infant car seats, cribs and other infant products restricted by law, swing sets, food, pets, large appliances, marine vessels, swimming pools, vehicles, cash and intangible property. (They reject this stuff, so don’t pack it)

ONLY open 10am-12pm to accept donations.

ONLY open Saturdays January 2, Jan 9, Jan 16, Jan 23 for clutter donations.
