Coffin 2 with Desiree Velez

Experienced film and stage actress Desiree Velez who also owns Mystical Smiles Face Painting is joining the cast and crew of “Coffin 2”The film is heading to Cannes Film Festival Spring of 2017 and the movie is set to open this summer.

Speaking with the lovely Desiree who has been in the film business nearly thirty years, she is an accomplished Latino actress, who also owns two businesses in the Virginia/ Washington Metro area. One of her businesses is a face painting empire in seven restaurants throughout metro Washington D.C. Her other business is a brand new film production company set up with Baltimore City Bad Boy Johnny Alonso. The two have worked together on “Coffin 2” among other projects.

Known for her work in “Super Mario Brothers” , “Oz” and the independent film “One Penny” ,Desiree speaks fondly of her stage work in New York City at The Woolley Mammoth Theatre where she was in the play by Nicky Silvers called, “Fat Men in Skirts” which received an astounding review by the New York Times.

Desiree has an incredible work ethic, she is always working on something be it film, commercials, her own businesses and one cannot explain her positivity and energy she is on the go and such a joy to talk to. Talking with her, I have no doubt that “Coffin 2” will be an incredible hit with her input into the film. She also worked as an Associate Producer on the film and has such drive she may have put her work into overdrive on the film. All we can say is “wow” what an incredible passionate person to put her all into the film. We cannot wait to see this film as soon as possible.
