"Coffin 2" on its way to Cannes Film festival
independent film makers from Baltimore and Los Angeles score big with Horror Film
Attention all you boils and ghouls, independent film “Coffin 2“to arrive at Cannes in 2017, this is the stuff of horror. Shorter, low budget films are always a stable vehicle for new artists to get their start but it takes a very talented team to end up at Cannes Film Festival. Director Kipp Tribble, Johnny Alonso, Robert Allen Mukes and Skyrocket Productions LLC, are among the group to proudly present the film in France this year.
“Coffin 2” is an artistic and colorful psychological thriller that grabs the attention and puts you into a nameless icy fright. Tribble has communicated a vision that is bereft of blood and gore. He is quick to remind all of us that fears set in the mind are so much powerful than the usual slasher flick. This film thrives on violent flashes and colorful, alarming, flashbacks to other points in the killer’s life which are quick, immersive and deadly.
Director Kipp Tribble beautifully orchestrates film shots in multi layers of colors and imagery that is outstanding as it is intriguing, with intense hues to form the imagery of a tapestry that leads you on a mad hunt for the hostages. The actors are very realistic in maintaining their magnified level of terror throughout the film. Pay attention to Kipp’s scene changing color hues as they bloom and magnify a story of their own.

“Coffin”( 2012) stars Kevin Sorbo, Bruce Davison and Johnny Alonso, they give us a clean but intensely deep look and feel of the utter terror of being locked alone in a coffin with no one around to save you. The dread of knowing you have limited time to survive. It gives one chills to think of being buried alive, it is an isolating, demented and horrendous tale about a cheating wife and her gorgeous lover who are locked in a two person coffin with 75 minutes of air. Their handsome hero has a limited amount of time in which to find them while playing cat and mouse with a malicious boogeyman called Trick. The always energetic Alonso’s Trick is a real treat to watch, Johnny Alonso says himself” Trick is the coolest bad guy on film”
