County Honors Life Of Fallen Police Officer Kyle Olinger: VIDEO

BETHESDA, MD — Family members, first responders, and residents gathered in Montgomery County on Wednesday to pay tribute to fallen police officer Kyle Olinger.

Fifteen years ago, Olinger was conducting a routine traffic stop when an 18-year-old shot him in the neck. The paralyzed officer was confined to a wheelchair, but died on April 18, 2019 as a result of his injuries, according to the governor's office.

Montgomery County honored Olinger's life and dedication to the police force on Wednesday.
