BETHESDA, MD — What once was a single stall at a Columbus, Ohio public market, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams has turned into a beloved franchise with more than 30 scoop shops across the country.

Now, the cult ice cream shop, which has a location in D.C., is ready to expand to Bethesda Row. It will be Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams' first location in Maryland.

The 1,135-square-foot scoop shop is expected to open this fall on Elm Street. Customers can enjoy crave-worthy classics like Brambleberry Crisp and Gooey Butter Cake, and dairy-free flavors like Roasted Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jam and Texas Sheet Cake.
