Day Added to School Calendar in Montgomery County
There's a new last day of school in Montgomery County after too many snow days in the 2015-16 school year.

Students in Montgomery County Public Schools will have one more day — actually three more days — to dream of summer and that last class bell.
Montgomery County Public Schools will extend the 2015–2016 school year by one day, ending the school year on Monday, June 20, 2016.
The Maryland State Department of Education approved the school year change on Monday, which included a waiver of one school day.
The school year was previously scheduled to end Friday, June 17. It will now end with an early release day on June 20.
Snow storms closed schools for six days this winter, but the district only had four weather days in the calendar.
A request to waive both additional school days had been refused by the MSDE.
