Desiree Velez is one strong woman and a true icon in the independent acting business. She works three jobs and has many business arrangements in the face and body painting field. I spent an evening with her at one of her face painting gigs and it was an incredible experience. We do not realize how much work an actress has to do, the expenses and the traveling, the side gigs.
We all know the Washington D.C. metro area is an expensive place to live and many people have to take two full time jobs to pay all the bills. Sometimes they can't even afford to live alone here as well.
I was extremely impressed with the cast and crew of "Coffin 2" they were all hard working men and women and they were full of energy to get this film made. Not only is Desiree acting but she has become a producer of films as well. She also owns a face painting business, Mystical Smiles Face Painting.

The cast and crew deserve recognition on this project with their budget and their high levels of energy to get the film made and on to Cannes Film Festival for the Spring of 2017. Can you imagine working forty hours at one job and then running off to an audition later that evening?
This crew proved to be a commendable team, they put themselves in Los Angeles to make the film and are now off marketing the film which will be out this Summer. Money was tight and that comes with the territory in making a non big budget film. We wish them luck at Cannes and hope to see many more projects from this team. It was a dream team in heaven to get this film made.
