Donations Needed for Chevy Chase Thanksgiving Dinner Basket Drive

Donations are needed to provide a Thanksgiving dinner to Montgomery County residents who need a helping hand.
The Town of Chevy Chase, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, and the Lawton Community Center are sponsoring the seventh annual Thanksgiving Dinner Basket drive, according to a news release.
The drive is still 49 meals or $3,675 short to provide baskets of food to 80 Montgomery County families this Thanksgiving.

Checks can be made payable to YMCA-YFS through Nov. 20 and dropped off at the Town Hall Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and at 4006 Rosemary Street after hours.
A $25 donation buys a turkey, $50 purchases groceries and $75 purchases an entire Thanksgiving dinner. All donations are welcome.

Volunteers are also needed on Nov. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. to assemble or decorate dinner baskets at the Town Hall.
