The 2nd Annual Ben's Run will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Stonegate Elementary School in Silver Spring. The race consists of a 5k (3.1 mile) run and a 1 mile run/walk.
The event is in memory of Ben Goldfogle, a local boy who passed away from complications from Leukemia in 2009. Ben’s family, friends and neighbors want to show love and admiration for him, and for all the other children who are battling life threatening illnesses by doing something to support Children's National Medical Center. Last year, we raised over $33,000 and are hoping to do event better this year.
Registration is $25 online or $30 the morning of the race. This is a family-friendly event. Strollers are welcome as well as kid-friendly leashed dogs.
