CityDance Presents: Christopher K. Morgan & Artists in Spiraling on Sat, October 27th, 8:00-9:30 pm and Sun, October 28th, 3:00-4:30 pm
Returning for his second season as CityDance's resident artist, Christopher K. Morgan & Artists (CKM&A) will present Spiraling, a dynamic concert featuring Morgan's "forward thinking choreography" (Ballet-Dance Magazine).
Opening the program will be C'est le ton qui fait la chanson, a playful work set to nostalgic 1930's French music. Morgan will debut a new contemporary ballet piece set on CityDance's exceptional pre-professional students. Then, in the first step in a growing partnership, Christopher K. Morgan & Artists will host acclaimed company Dance Exchange, who will present a work by their Resident Artist Sarah Levitt. Finally, the company will premiere Morgan's 2012 work De-Generate. Originally commissioned by the American University Dance Company, the piece creates a magical atmosphere that reflects the barrage of ideas and images that flood our modern lives.
