Praveen Sheolikar is an exceptionally talented violinist of India. Steeped in Gayki-Ang, Praveen hails from a family with a musical tradition. His grandfather Pt. Rambhau Sheolikar of Raipur was a great musician and his father Pt. Vasantrao Sheolikar is a well known violinist of Madhya Pradesh and a recipient of the coveted “SHIKHAR SAMMAN” which is the highest award conferred by the M.P. government in the field of performing art. Praveen started taking lessons from his grandfather at the age of 9 years and then mastered the technique and subtleties of violin under the watchful eyes of his father.

Supreet Deshpande is a third generation musician in the illustrious family of noted musicologist Late Pt. S.B. Deshpande. Supreet has learned for over 20 years from his father, tabla virtuoso Pt. Kiran Deshpande – the foremost disciple and worthy successor of the Delhi – Farrukhabad gharana’s legendary Ustad Shaikh Dawood Khan sahib. He has also learned the intricacies of the Taal – kriya from the illustrious Sangeet Vidwan Taalyogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar, whose contribution in furthering the repertoire of Tabla is unparalleled in modern times.
