Friday, July 15:

• Enjoy an evening of family fun and bowling while supporting the Washington Humane Society at the Bowl-N-Bark fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bowl America in Gaithersburg.
• Friday Night Live Concert Series at Rockville Town Square features Latin by Mambo Combo at 6:30 p.m. Free.
• Wrap the work week up with Gaithersburg’s Zumba in the Park at the City Hall Concert Pavilion at 7 p.m.
• The Evermay Chamber led by violinist Tamaki Kawakubo partner with the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras of Strathmore to perform at the Music Center at Strathmore at 7:30 p.m.
• Rockville Musical Theatre’s production of Rent continues tonight at 8 p.m. in Rockville at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre.
• In partnership with Wildwood Summer Theatre, Gaithersburg’s Arts Barn presents Grease at 8 p.m.
• Chopteeth Afrofunk Big Band perform at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
• Olney Theatre presents the award-winning musical Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice at 8 p.m.
• AMP by Strathmore presents local blues band The Nighthawks at 8 p.m. Cable County Montgomery’s Susan Kenedy profiled the band in this video.
• The Happenstance Theater group presents Moxie at Round House Theatre tonight at 8 p.m.

Saturday, July 16:

• Gaithersburg’s 4th Annual Sports Fest celebrates youth sports. Activities include a 1K Fun Run, challenges in baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball and track and field. Sports Fest takes place at Bohrer Park at Sukmmit Hall Farm from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
• Takoma Radio will begin broadcasting at 94.3 FM and will host an open house with a day of activities starting with the Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony at 9 a.m.
• It’s Robotics Day at Kid Museum in Bethesda. Great for all ages.
• In partnership with Wildwood Summer Theatre, Gaithersburg’s Arts Barn presents Grease at 2 and 8 p.m.
• The Rockville Rotary Twilight Runfest has a new course this year and kicks off at 6 p.m.
• The BlackRock Center for the Arts free summer concert tonight features The Quebe Sisters (rhymes with maybe) performing western swing at 7 p.m.
• Coffee shop BumpNGrind in Silver Spring hosts a special fundraiser for the YMCA-Youth and Family Services Silver Spring branch with an acoustic listening concert at 7 p.m.
• It’s comedy night at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club with Joe Clair & Friends with performances at 7 and 10 p.m.
• R&B musician Brian McKnight performs at the Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m.
• Rockville Musical Theatre’s production of Rent continues tonight at 8 p.m. at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville.

• Montgomery County’s free rabies vaccination clinic takes place at the Animal Services and Adoption Center from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
• In partnership with Wildwood Summer Theatre, Gaithersburg’s Arts Barn presents Grease at 2 p.m.
• Rockville Musical Theatre’s production of Rent has a show at 2 p.m. at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville.
• Join a naturalist every Sunday to learn about the animals who live in and around Wheaton Regional Park at 1:30 p.m.
• Olney Theatre presents the award-winning musical Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice at 2 p.m.
• The Happenstance Theater group’s production of Moxie closes today with a performance at Round House Theatre at 2 p.m.
• Celebrate the reopening of the Interactive Fountain with activities for children, live music and fun giveaways from 3 to 6 p.m.
