Five Guys Robbers Emptied 4 Restaurant Safes: Police
Burglars who recently cut into the safe of a Five Guys restaurant may also have struck eateries in Rockville and Aspen Hill, police say.

KENSINGTON, MD — Two men who reportedly broke into the Five Guys restaurant in Kensington Feb. 6 and cut open the business' safe may also have pulled similar heists in Aspen Hill and Rockville, authorities say.
Montgomery County Police detectives have released surveillance video and photographs of the suspects and asked for the public’s help in identifying them.
Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspects. Tipsters will remain anonymous.

About 5:25 a.m. Monday, an employee at the Five Guys restaurant located at 10510 Connecticut Ave. reported a burglary as they arrived to open the business. Investigators say restaurant video surveillance shows the suspects entered the rear door just before 4 a.m. and used a power tool to cut a hole in the restaurant’s safe. The burglars took an undisclosed amount of cash from the safe and fled.
Detectives believe these two suspects may also be responsible for recent commercial burglaries in the Aspen Hill and Rockville areas, where safes were also cut open using a power tool:

- On January 16, police officers responded to a burglary at the Jerry’s Subs and Pizza restaurant, 13645 Connecticut Ave.
- On February 4, police officers responded to a burglary reported at a Wingstop restaurant, 13633 Connecticut Ave.
- On February 9, Rockville City Police Department officers were called to a burglary at a Crisp & Juicy restaurant, 1331 Rockville Pike.
