Flower Child Restaurant Plants Second MD Location In Bethesda
Flower Child, where the motto is "healthy food for a happy world," will open inside Bethesda's Wildwood Shopping Center on July 2.
BETHESDA, MD — Flower Child — the Phoenix-based chain focused on healthy fare — is opening a second Maryland location at Wildwood Shopping Center. The fast-casual restaurant is expected to set up shop at 10205 Old Georgetown Rd. on July 2.
Encompassing more than 3,600 square feet of space, Flower Child can accommodate 174 patrons. And if the name isn't already a dead giveaway, the hippie-inspired eatery will have colorful murals bearing peace signs, lemons, and the words "live more, worry less."

"At Flower Child, we make every last bite from scratch, using fresh ingredients from close to home and serving healthy food that takes you to a happy place," the restaurant says. "That's our promise to you, whether you're vegetarian, vegan, paleo, or just hungry. And just because we can do sugar-free, dairy-free and gluten-free doesn't mean we do flavor-free…because where's the happy in that?"
Prices range from $6.50 to $12.50. Items on the menu include: raw tahini hummus, which comes with shaved heirloom carrot, cucumber, za'atar; madras yellow curry, which comes with heirloom carrot, green bean, broccoli, potato, jalapeño, cilantro, and brown rice; and thai green papaya, which comes with sweet potato noodle, mandarin, mint, and a spicy sunflower vinaigrette.

Flower Child will also be serving wine and local beer.
