George's Chophouse Now Open In Bethesda
Bethesda's newest steak house, George's Chophouse, opened Nov. 1 on Cordell Avenue.

BETHESDA, MD — Bethesda's newest steak house, George's Chophouse, is now open on Cordell Avenue. The renovated space at 4935 Cordell Ave. is being run by chef Ashish Alfred, who also operates French eatery Duck Duck Goose at 7929 Norfolk Ave. in Bethesda.
George's Chophouse opened its doors Wednesday, November 1. Along with five cuts of steak — including a whopping 36-ounce ribeye — Alfred told Bethesda Magazine the venue will offer pasta dishes and a raw bar of scallops, lobster tails, oysters and clams.
Appetizers include souffle served with cheese table-side, plus fried Maitake mushrooms served with horseradish cream sauce, DC Eater says.
