"Girl With No Earring" at the Labor Day Art Exhibition

“Girl With No Earring” and “The Young Audrey Hepburn” drawings will be on exhibit at the Labor Day Weekend Drawing Art exhibition at the Yellow Barn Gallery in Glen Echo Park, Maryland. These are some of the figurative expressionist artwork of acclaimed artist Vian Borchert who is also an art teacher a the Yellow Barn Studio.
Borchert a Corcoran GW graduate has been teaching fine art classes for over 10 years to students of all levels of experience.
For the Fall semester, Borchert will be teaching “Beginning and Intermediate Watercolor” from 9/17-11/19 on Monday mornings from 9:30AM-12PM, and “Beginning Drawing” 9/21-11/16 on Friday mornings 9:30AM-12PM.
The classes are for ages: 14+ and up.

Glen Echo Park gets very busy with much loved exhibitions and activities every Labor Day Weekend. Around 5,000 people visit the historic park and its exhibitions during the long Labor Day Weekend.
A Demo by artist and art teacher Vian Borchert will be given:
On: Saturday Sept. 1 from 2-4 PM
At: The Bumper Car Pavilion
In: Glen Echo Park
In the demo, Borchert will be making paintings and drawings from still life, and also Borchert will present landscape work. Vian will be focusing on the usage of the watercolor and the drawing medium in the demo. A sneak peek of what to expect and what to look forward to in her popular art classes.

The Labor Day Drawing Exhibition will be form Friday evening Aug. 31 till Monday Sept. 3 with a reception on Monday Sept. 3 from 4-6 PM.

Saturday – Sunday: 12-5PM
Monday: 12-6PM
