Glass fell from a top-floor apartment unit in Bethesda on Thursday, injuring a child, according to fire and rescue officials.

BETHESDA, MD — A glass panel fell from the top-floor balcony of a Bethesda apartment building Thursday evening, injuring a child, authorities said.
The incident happened at the corner of Woodmont Avenue and Battery Lane at about 5:30 p.m.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Pete Piringer said crews were dispatched the scene to treat injuries sustained by the child and few others. No one was seriously injured. And it's unclear what caused the glass to fall.
