'Golden Showers' Burger Takes On Salacious Donald Trump Report

A Bethesda restaurant is offering a "Golden Showers" burger in response to a salacious and unconfirmed story about Donald Trump.

BETHESDA, MD โ€” A furor grows in the political world over an unsubstantiated report that recounts alleged Russian surveillance of President-elect Donald Trump's boudoir habits when he traveled to Russia in past years. And a Bethesda restaurant is embracing the uproar.

Community restaurant at 7776 Norfolk Ave. has temporarily added a "Golden Showers" burger combo to its menu. The $20 combo is only on sale Jan. 11 and also includes a side of golden fries and a lemon-glazed doughnut "happy ending," reports DCist. For every burger sold, the restaurant will donate $5 to Planned Parenthood.

The snarky food offering is a nod to published stories on the unverified salacious allegations of a former British intelligence official, who claimed the Kremlin has been "cultivating, supporting, and assisting" Trump for many years. Reportedly, the incoming president's sexual conduct while in Moscow was "perverted," which Russian security officials arranged and monitored in order to blackmail him.

The details of the alleged obscure sex acts were published by online media site BuzzFeed. The claims have not been confirmed and may not be able to be confirmed. Trump has denounced the story as lies on Twitter and at a press conference.

Food writer Nevin Martell describes the patty as โ€œdrenched with self-tanning cheddar and yellow mustard leaking down the sides, and topped with a very small pickle,โ€ says Washingtonian. "It also comes with a tall glass of lemonade and a lemon-glazed doughnut for an 'unforgettable happy ending'.โ€

Trump was understandably furious about the unproven claims.

"I win an election easily, a great 'movement' is verified, and crooked opponents try to belittle our victory with FAKE NEWS. A sorry state!" Trump said in Twitter posts Wednesday morning. "Intelligence agencies should never have allowed this fake news to 'leak' into the public. One last shot at me. Are we living in Nazi Germany?"

BuzzFeed published a document that it reported was the full dossier of intelligence. It was generated largely from opposition research done on Trump during the campaign, the New York Times said, by both Republicans and Democrats.
