Montgomery County Police had fun on their Twitter feed Friday, and may have spoiled DVR viewing for some fans of the TV show.

If you DVR’ed Thursday night’s wrenching episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” but haven’t watched it yet – Spoiler Alert – don’t read this story or the Montgomery County Police Twitter feed.
The wits at #MCPNews had a fun poke at the watercooler angst happening online today after the – Spolier Alert again! – unexpected demise of an original cast member. McSadness has swept the soapy drama’s legions of fans.

The ABC hospital drama has been on the air for 11 seasons, with fans avidly following the ups and downs of the romance between Dr. Derek Shepherd, played by Patrick Dempsey, and Dr. Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo. The Shepherd character was given the nickname McDreamy, and prompted copycat monikers for other hunky actors.
The department tweeted Friday afternoon: “We sympathize with those saddened by death of Dr. Derek Shepherd.However, ur sadness can’t b used as excuse to commit crime #GreysAnatomy”
