HalfSmoke Coming To Food Court At Westfield Montgomery Mall

BETHESDA, MD — HalfSmoke is opening a new location on Friday at the Westfield Montgomery Mall Food Court in Bethesda, the restaurant's third location in the D.C. and Baltimore areas.

HalfSmoke serves gourmet, house-made sausages, wood-grilled entrées, and house-made desserts as well as beer, wine and cocktails. The flagship location opened in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C., in 2016. The second location opened in Baltimore in April 2021.

The restaurant will be open seven days a week and the hours of operation at the new Westfield Montgomery Mall Food Court are Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Monday through Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Thursday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

HalfSmoke said its emphasis is on fresh, organic and locally available products.

Patrons who dine at the new 900-square-foot, 30-seat food court location in Bethesda can expect a wide selection of entrées, sides, and desserts. Entrées include the Pinky & The Brain, carnival fennel cake topped with buttermilk brined dried chicken; Briggs & Co., HalfSmoke sausage, served on a brioche bun with chili, bacon, cheese, mustard slaw, and crispy onions; and wood grilled wings, served with a choice of mumbo sauce, buffalo, ranch of BBQ sauce.

Side dishes include crab fries with rosemary aioli; loaded tater tots with applewood bacon, chili, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and green onion; loaded sweet potato tots with marshmallow cream, caramel walnuts and toffee crumbles; and jalapeño mac n’ cheese bites with pesto sauce.

Dessert options include funnel cake with fresh strawberries, white chocolate, vanilla gelato, and whipped cream, and brownie with dark chocolate gelato, milk chocolate and hot fudge. HalfSmoke also features a build-your-own dessert bar, where guests can create their own milkshake, funnel cake, brownies, and donuts, for prices ranging from $5 to $16.
