Death Of Man Found Behind Bethesda Bus Stop Ruled A Homicide: PD

The death of a man whose body was found Monday near a Bethesda bus stop has been ruled a homicide.

BETHESDA, MD — The death of a man found behind a bus stop in Bethesda Monday has been ruled a homicide.

Montgomery County Police said a passerby spotted the body in the 10000 block of Old Georgetown Rd. around 5:30 p.m. The individual called 911 and said the body was found under a tarp or trash bag.

The remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. His death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators said the man was between 20 and 30 years old and of Hispanic descent. They added that they do not believe the homicide happened at the location where the body was found.

Police have released photos of the victim's tattoos and examples of clothing he was wearing. Authorities hope the public can help identify the individual.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about this homicide to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. The county's Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the suspect's arrest: 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous.
