Ike Leggett, Jeb Bush To Speak At Gov. Larry Hogan's Inauguration
Former Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush are scheduled to speak at Gov. Larry Hogan's inauguration.

BETHESDA, MD — Former Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will speak at Republican Gov. Larry Hogan's inauguration Wednesday, according to Hogan's office. The event, which is expected to draw thousands, will take place at 12:30 p.m. on the northwest lawn of the Maryland State House.
Democrat Ike Leggett, the county's first African American council member and county executive, will deliver a welcome message at the ceremony. The retired political veteran has worked with Hogan on a number of projects, such as the Purple Line, and considers him a friend.
Following Leggett's speech, former Florida governor and one-time GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush will introduce Hogan.

Hogan is the first Republican to win re-election as Maryland's governor since 1954.
Like Hogan, Bush made history after clinching a second term as governor. Bush was the first Republican governor re-elected in Florida's history. He served from 1999 through 2007.
