Images of Bethesda Credit Card Theft Suspect Released

Montgomery County Police have released surveillance photos of a woman suspected of using credit cards stolen at Bethesda fitness club.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County Police on Tuesday released surveillance photos of a woman suspected of using credit cards stolen from a car parked at a Bethesda fitness club.

Someone broke into a locked vehicle that was parked at the Bethesda Sport & Health, 4400 Montgomery Ave., on Dec. 21. The thief took several credit cards from the victim’s wallet, which had been placed under a jacket in the back seat.

Police say the suspect did not steal all of the victim’s credit cards and did not take cash that was in the wallet, presumably so the victim would not immediately notice that the cards had been stolen.

Detectives on Tuesday released photographs of a woman suspected of using the victim’s stolen credit cards at a store in Bethesda. In total, the suspect charged more than $7,000 on the stolen credit cards.
