July 4 Metro Schedule For The DMV
Here's everything you need to know if you're taking the Metro on July 4.
BETHESDA, MD — Metro will operate on a modified schedule for the July 4 holiday.
Here's everything you need to know:
- Stations will open at 8 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.
- Red Line trains will run every 20 minutes
- Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue Line trains will operate every 30 minutes
- More trains will be in service on all lines around 4 p.m. for the Salute to America event on the National Mall
- The following stations will be "entry only" for 30 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks display:
- L'Enfant Plaza (OR, BL, YL, GR)
- Smithsonian (OR, BL)
- Federal Triangle (OR, BL)
- Metro Center (OR, BL, RD)
- McPherson Sq (OR, BL)
- Farragut West (OR, BL)
- Foggy Bottom (OR, BL)
- Rosslyn (OR, BL)
- Farragut North (RD)
- Gallery Place (RD, GR, YL)
- After 9 p.m., most other stations will be "exit only"
- Nine Orange/Silver Line stations west of Ballston will be served by shuttle buses due to planned summer construction work
- Arlington Cemetery is closed
- Bicycles and large coolers are not permitted due to space constraints as a result of COVID-19
