Jump Around Your Neighborhood This Week!

The most feared words for a parent sometimes are a simple “I’m bored!”. Not to fear! There’s a new cure for boredom families are jumping for joy over!

JumpIt Pass is a monthly membership pass that allows parents to access THE BEST classes for children at a wide variety of venues. (www.JumpItPass.com)

So, what’s jumping this snowy week? We are glad you asked!

Looking ahead this week, we have thousands of classes to choose from and more added everyday. Take advantage of the Levine Music classes with locations in DC, MD and VA. They will be offered this week but not again until March. Now’s your chance-- and they fill up fast!

Enjoy jumping around to your favorite activities and learning about new ones! Here is a preview of the week... Monday, 7:00pm: Open Gym at Great Play of Fairfax (ages 4+ yrs). Enjoy unstructured, free play at Great Play’s technologically advanced play area, the “Interactive Arena”. Your kiddos can get their afternoon sillies out and you can rest assured that they will get a good night’s sleep!

Tuesday, 10:15am: Cantemos y Bailemos at Levine Music (ages 12 mo - 24 mo). Parent or caregiver and toddler will discover the joys of making music in Spanish as they experience musical activities-- singing songs and lullabies, chants, simple finger plays, wiggles, bounces, listening and movement!

Wednesday, 10:00am: Monkeys Soccer at Bluebox Sports (ages 18 - 36 mo). In this FUN parent participation class, easy games are used to teach coordination and the basics of soccer. Kids work on dribbling and ball control and even some specialty skills. Bluebox’s non-competitve philosophy help foster confidence and a love for the game.

Thursday, 9:30am: Family Art at Gymboree DC (ages 18 mos - 5 yrs). Be inspired together and make colorful memories in the Gymboree Art Studio. Sculpt with a giant block of clay, design a family tree, paint a mural or make a creation of your very own.

Friday, 9:45am: Rockin’ Railroad at Kidville Fallsgrove (ages 0 - 6 yrs). A rockin crew and conductor take you on a journey through fun activities, including movement songs, lap activities, shared musical story time, group drumming exploration, and bubbles galore. Come enjoy this musical journey using your imagination!

Saturday, 12:00pm: Beginning Hip Hop and Tumbling at Gym America (4 - 6 yrs). This fun and energetic class includes an intro to basic hip-hop steps and tumbling used in hip-hop routines. Your little dancer will be encouraged to have fun and try their best by the friendly, talented and patient staff!

Sunday: KID Museum Open Explore (All Ages). This incredible museum offers hands-on fun for the whole family! Check out wind tunnels, build drawing robots, make music, try 3D printing and construct sculptures out of cardboard---- try all of this and more interactive experiences at the KID Museum!
