Just How Smart Are Chevy Chase Residents?

Ambitious? Brainiacs? Accomplished? How would you describe Chevy Chase residents?

A recent listicle by Business Insider says Chevy Chase topped the country for the percentage of adults who have at least a bachelor’s degree.

Business Insider put together the rankings, a mix of affluent suburbs like Chevy Chase and college towns, using data from the Census Bureau’s annual American Community Survey.

Using the survey results, Business Insider made a map showing, for each state, the town with the highest percentage of adults over 25 who have at least a bachelor’s degree.

A hefty 92.7 percent of Chevy Chase adults have earned a bachelor’s degree, the only community topping the 90th percentile. The only other city in the region to make the list was McLean, VA, coming in at No. 19 with 81.2 percent of its adults graduating from college.
