Maryland's Only L.L.Bean Store Opening At Pike and Rose
Three-day L.L.Bean North Bethesda store grand opening celebration Nov. 10-12 to include giveaways, hands-on activities, and more.

BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE, MD - From L.L. Bean: Outdoor retailer L.L.Bean, best known for its Bean Boot and customer service, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest retail store, which will be the company's only Maryland location. The store at Pike & Rose, a mixed-use community featuring retail shops, restaurants, entertainment options, office space and residential living located in North Bethesda.
An L.L.Bean store in the Columbia mall opened several years ago, but has since closed.
The grand opening celebration will begin on Friday, Nov. 10, and go through Sunday, Nov. 12. Everyone is invited to the three-day event featuring giveaways, a variety of family activities, L.L.Bean’s famous Bootmobile and more.

Grand opening event highlights include:
- Friday: Free L.L.Bean Gift Card worth up to $500 to the first 200 customers to come through the door—store opens at 9:00 a.m.
- Saturday and Sunday:
- Free fly-casting and archery lessons by experts from L.L.Bean’s Outdoor Discovery Schools, games and more—10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

- Kids’ Day--it’s all about the kids with a day of family fun featuring wildlife programs, and hands-on activities and games with local Boy and Girl Scout troops--10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- For dog lovers, the “coverdog” of the PIKEPaws Calendar contest will be announced at the PIKEPaws Pawty, at Rose Park at 10:00 a.m.--the 2018 calendar will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Montgomery County, MD Humane Society.
- In addition, all weekend long, folks can also have their photo taken with L.L.Bean’s famous Bootmobile, a mobile version of L.L.Bean’s first and most iconic product, the L.L.Bean Boot.
The 22,700 square-foot store will feature an assortment of active and casual apparel and footwear, as well as outdoor lifestyle gear. The store will employ about 75 people. This will be L.L.Bean’s 35th retail store outside of Maine.
