Residential Bath – Grand Award, Foggy Bottom, Washington D.C.The owners of this condominium purchased a small adjacent apartment to create one large unit. We combined the existing kitchen and bathroom into one large master suite bathroom with contemporary European flair. http://www.landisconstruction.com/project/sleek-modern-bath-foggy-bottom/
Commercial Specialty – Grand Award, Georgetown, Washington D.C. We updated the British School’s multi-purpose room kitchen with white cabinets, bold red soffit, subway tile and laminate and butcher block counters. We also split the existing music room into two spaces, incorporating a hallway with windows into the classroom for natural light.
Residential Bath – Finalist (3rd place), Dupont Circle, Washington D.C. We incorporated two adjacent closets to expand this small condo bathroom in a historic Romanesque Revival building. We fitted it with a wall-hung cabinet and large shower. The original 100-year-old mosaic floor serves as inspiration for the rust-colored glass tile shower wall. http://www.landisconstruction.com/project/romanesque-revival-mosaic-in-modern-dc-bathroom/
Residential Kitchen – Honorable Mention (4th place), Bethesda, Md. The owner of this 1959 home wanted a rear addition that would allow her to enlarge her kitchen and to convert a screened porch into an all-season room. A small 10-foot bump-out on the rear of the house allowed us to reconfigure the main floor layout and open up the flow between the new kitchen and the adjacent living and dining rooms.http://www.landisconstruction.com/project/bethesda-addition-with-kitchen/
