Lycee Rochambeau Increases Security After Terror Attacks
The French International School in Bethesda observed a moment of silence Monday for the victims of the Paris attacks.

Students, parents and staff members at Lycee Rochambeau, the French International School with three campuses in Bethesda and Chevy Chase, observed a minute of silence Monday to note the Paris terror attacks.
The school said on its Facebook page that school paid tribute to the victims of the violent terrorist attacks that took place in Paris last Friday. More than 120 people were killed and an estimated 350 more injured when suicide bombers attacked a concert hall and other venues in Paris.
Lycee Rochambeau has heightened security at its Bethesda campus, reports WTOP. The private school serves pre-kindergarten to high school students, and has 132 students representing 71 nationalities.

“I was really impressed by the messages I got over the weekend from families, people I don’t even know — my neighbors, my landlady,” she says. “I think this is what is so great about the American people is the way you show empathy. That is heartwarming.”
