Police ID Man Fatally Shot In Parking Lot Of Bethesda Hotel

Montgomery County police are investigating the Thursday shooting as a homicide. The suspect remains at large.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County police have identified the man who was found fatally shot in the parking lot of a Bethesda hotel.

According to police, the shooting occurred shortly before 11:40 a.m. Thursday in the 5700 block of Marinelli Road.

When officers arrived, they found 41-year-old Quentin Tyrone Davis in the parking lot of the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center with an apparent gunshot wound. First responders attempted to aid Davis, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators later learned that Davis was walking alone through the parking lot toward the hotel when an unknown suspect confronted him. Shortly after, police said the suspect shot Davis and ran from the area.

Officers, with assistance from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Metro Transit Police, searched the area and nearby Metro trains in an effort to find the suspect but were unsuccessful.
