MCPS Extends School Year As Snow Days Pile Up
Montgomery County Public Schools will have a longer school year due to snow.
BETHESDA, MD — Following four snow-related closings, Montgomery County Public Schools has extended the school year by two days.
Students will have to come in to school on June 5 — which was originally scheduled as a professional day for teachers. And the last day of classes is now on June 14.
Should there be another snow day, school officials said they will have to cut into spring break, which starts on April 17.
