Speak Up, Tommy!

What if you were suddenly transported to another country and
didn’t speak the language—but still had to go to school? That’s
exactly what happens to young Tommy when he moves from
Israel to America. Whenever he tries to speak English, the other
kids tease him. But when a local police officer visits the
classroom with his special dog, Samson, everything changes.

Tea Lunch– Craft—Raffle for a Rebecca Doll
Author Jacqueline Dembar Greene will talk about the personal stories
and historical events that helped her create American Girl’s
Rebecca Rubin series. She will bring along some unique items featured in the books, including crocheted doilies and a Kewpie doll.
This event is for families with readers ages 7 and older. There is no
charge for the program or tea lunch, but please register in advance,
