Launch Workplaces Hires Michael Abrams as Market Development Leader

EDGEWATER, Md. (January 15, 2019) – Launch Workplaces, a network of collaborative workspaces owned by The Brick Companies, today announced Michael Abrams has joined the company as market development leader.

In this role, Abrams is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of Launch Workplaces’ business plan and defining the strategy and process Launch Workplaces uses to identify and acquire real estate assets. Abrams will drive market and business strategy, support Launch Workplaces’ continued profitable growth, and support diversification outside of the current market areas of concentration.

A real estate developer with over 30 years of experience in commercial realty, Abrams joins Launch Workplaces from Glenbrook Properties, Inc. in Rockville where he was co-founder and partner. With Glenbrook, Abrams managed and developed real estate throughout the mid-Atlantic region and nationwide, from leading restaraunts growth to retail centers and office. Abrams was involved in investor and lender relationships, management of a consultant team, development of investment strategies to maximize profit and value, forensic evaluation for obtaining entitlements, and all daily operations, including financial obligations. Abrams has also served as president of Abrams Realty Corp., where he repositioned the real estate assets and managed the corporate stock portfolio worth over $3.5 million, increasing returns by more than 35 percent.

A resident of Rockville, Abrams earned his bachelor’s degree in urban studies from the University of Maryland, College Park and a master’s degree in city and regional planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
