Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Police - Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking the public's assistance in locating a missing 11-year-old male from Silver Spring.

Today, August 30, at approximately 3 p.m., Richard Herrera was last seen leaving the Silver Spring International Middle School on Wayne Avenue in Silver Spring.
Richard is 5 feet, 2 inches tall, and 160 lbs. He has brown eyes and black hair and wears glasses. He was last seen carrying a backpack and wearing a white shirt, black pants and blue shoes.
Police and family are concerned for his physical and emotional welfare.
