Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Aspen Hill man.

Alemu Abeshero, age 65, was last seen at approximately noon today (Saturday, March 13) when he left his Hewitt Avenue home on foot.  Friends reported that Abeshero is from Ethiopia and is new to the area and only speaks Amharic.

Abeshero is approximately 5’ 2” tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds.  He has black hair and brown eyes.  Abeshero was last seen wearing a green jacket over a gray shirt, dark green pants, and black tennis shoes.

Friends and police are concerned for Abeshero's welfare.
